Laurie Levi
Manager, Corporate Services & Brokerage Department

Laurie’s tenure with the core group in 1997 predates the establishment of PEGA. Being American and a native English-speaker, she initially began working in the company’s residential department on a part-time basis, servicing high-level expatriates in finding housing accommodations in Istanbul. Laurie’s corporate real estate background quickly proved an asset, and as she began to concentrate on multinational corporate commercial clients, the job quickly became full-time. Laurie closed the company’s first multinational deal in 1998, representing Regus Business Centres in their lease of 20,000 sq. ft. of Class A office space. Laurie’s success in this arena led to her being appointed as Brokerage Department Manager as well as being responsible for Corporate Client Services. Laurie’s corporate and multi-cultural background, in addition to her superior English-language skills and computer proficiency, makes her an invaluable member of our core team. Laurie has been the primary point of contact and the lead player in all of Pega’s corporate services projects since 1998.

The essence of corporate services is Tenant Representation, requiring exceptional presentation, organization, and communication skills, which are among Laurie’s strongest assets in dealing with the long and often tedious acquisition process, including liaising between corporate tenants, their head and local offices, their attorneys, and prospective landlords.

Laurie’s solid experience and combination of local market knowledge and understanding of corporate client expectations makes her a valuable resource in the area of brokerage consultancy. Her expertise is often sought by tenants and landlords alike.

Experience

Laurie’s experience and 10-plus years in the corporate real estate sector in Turkey nearly predates the sector itself; Laurie is occasionally referred to as “The Doyenne” of the Istanbul real estate market. Prior to the establishment of Pega’s formal relationship with Jones Lang LaSalle in 2005, Laurie cooperated on many corporate services projects with JLL clients. In fact, Laurie represented some of JLL’s clients before they were actually JLL clients. Laurie has been personally responsible for the transfer of approximately 350,000m² of commercial property and has provided brokerage consultancy services for an additional 210,000m² of commercial property.

Laurie has been responsible for acquisition transactions on behalf of British American Tobacco, BASF, Cisco Systems, General Motors, Intel, Microsoft, Wella, Roche Pharmaceuticals, Sun Microsystems, Enron Power, Gillette, TRW/Lucas, Nokia, and Regus Business Centers, to name a few. In addition, government agencies such as The United States Department of State, British Foreign & Commonwealth Office, Australian Consulate General, and The Canadian DFAIT have worked with Laurie on various projects in Turkey.
